From coffee origins to the Uzungöl view.
Our Café
The story of Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.® grew from years of experience in tourism and café hospitality in Uzungöl.
During this time, we welcomed guests from Türkiye and many parts of the world, observed changing tastes and learned that a good café experience is about more than the number of items on a menu. Guests look for a place where they can discover flavours that suit them, feel comfortable and experience the atmosphere of the destination around them.
The strong interest our guests showed in the floral, fruity and vibrant character of Ethiopian-origin coffee became the foundation of the idea behind Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.®. At the same time, we also saw that not everyone looks for the same flavour profile.
One guest may prefer a bright and aromatic cup, while another looks for calmer notes of chocolate, caramel or nuts. Some enjoy lively acidity, while others prefer a softer and more balanced coffee.
Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.® was therefore shaped around a simple idea: to keep the love of Ethiopian coffee at the heart of the experience without limiting guests to the flavours of a single origin.
Different origins, distinct coffee characters
We believe coffee cannot be described simply as strong or mild. Every origin carries its own aroma, body, acidity and story.
For this reason, we created a coffee menu that responds to different palates. Alongside the floral and citrus-led character of Ethiopia, we feature the balanced profile of Colombia, the bright fruit notes of Kenya, the clean sweetness of Costa Rica, the cocoa and caramel character of Guatemala, and the low-acidity chocolate and nut notes associated with Brazil Santos.
We did not want these coffees to appear merely as different names on a menu. We focus on brewing methods and recipes that allow the character of each bean to be experienced more clearly.
Manual methods such as V60 and Chemex offer different expressions for guests who want to explore the natural aromas of the coffee. Cold Brew provides a smoother, clearer and more refreshing interpretation. For Chemex and Cold Drip, the current bean, preparation time and price are confirmed when you order.
We apply the same approach to espresso-based drinks. Our aim is to prepare cups in which espresso, milk texture and the recipe complement one another, rather than allowing the coffee to disappear completely behind milk or sweetness.
In addition to whole milk, lactose-free milk and plant-based milk alternatives are available, and any price difference is confirmed when you order. The menu ranges from classic lattes and cappuccinos to Flat White, Cortado and Spanish Latte prepared with a house recipe developed for Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.®.
Different preferences around the same table
Uzungöl is a destination often visited by families and groups of friends travelling together. We understand that not everyone at the table wants the same thing.
One guest may wish to explore a particular origin through V60, while another may prefer a sweeter milk-based coffee, tea, hot chocolate, a frappe or a fruit-based drink. Children may choose something different, while adults may look for a dessert or a more filling option alongside their coffee.
For this reason, Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.® preserves its specialty coffee approach without limiting the menu to coffee alone.
Our visible dessert selection includes cheesecake, Marlenka varieties, baklava, tiramisu, trileçe, soufflé, individual cakes and donuts. Baked goods, croissants, buns and sourdough-based pizzas help bring different expectations together at the same table.
For us, a broad menu does not reduce the importance of coffee. It allows a guest who cares deeply about the cup to enjoy that experience comfortably with family and friends.
The same hospitality in three languages
We know Uzungöl as a destination that welcomes visitors from Türkiye and many parts of the world.
Being able to understand ingredients, milk choices, coffee origins and flavour profiles in a familiar language makes the experience more comfortable and reassuring for every guest.
Our menus and website are therefore available in Turkish, English and Arabic. Our team includes members who can communicate in these three languages, helping guests from different cultures express their preferences and receive clear information about the products they choose.
We do not see hospitality as simply taking an order. Explaining why one coffee tastes fruitier, which origin may work better in a milk-based drink, or what a product contains is also part of good service.
At Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.®, language is not used to separate guests into different groups. It is a way of helping everyone communicate more comfortably and enjoy the same standard of hospitality.
A café within the Uzungöl landscape
When creating Ethiopia Coffee — by Ethiopian Brew Co.®, we did not want only to build a place that served good coffee. We wanted Uzungöl itself to become part of the experience.
Our café is located directly beside the lake on an upper floor. From the tables beside the glass, guests can follow the lake from end to end, together with its shoreline and the mountains surrounding it.
The retractable glass panels open the space towards the lake and mountain air in pleasant weather while preserving indoor comfort when rain, mist or cooler temperatures arrive. The adjustable roof allows the café to adapt to Uzungöl’s rapidly changing weather.
The seating layout can be adjusted so that families, groups of friends and larger travelling parties can sit comfortably in the same area. High chairs, a heated and cooled indoor space, and a shisha-free atmosphere create a calmer setting centred on coffee, food and conversation.
We designed our modern, spacious and airy café as a place where the lake, the mountains, carefully prepared coffee and time spent together can complement one another.
