What Is Buna? Your Digital Coffee Guide in Uzungöl
Choosing coffee can involve more than deciding whether you want something strong or mild. Origin, acidity, body, sweetness, brewing method and serving temperature all shape the cup. Buna is the digital coffee and café guide developed to make these choices clearer at Ethiopia Coffee.
What does “Buna” mean?
“Buna” means coffee in Amharic. The name reflects our respect for Ethiopia’s coffee culture and our aim to offer more than a simple product-list chatbot: a guide that explains coffee through origin and cup character.
How can Buna help?
Buna can check the current menu and prices, compare origins, and explain V60, Chemex, Cold Brew and espresso-based drinks in plain language. When you share your preferences, it can suggest up to three meaningful choices based on acidity, body, sweetness, milk and temperature.
- Current menu and price information
- Flavour profiles of six coffee origins
- Brewing methods and guest-facing recipe information
- Coffee and dessert pairings
- Hours, location, reservation and pick-up information
- Our café, view and published journal articles
Where does the information come from?
Buna does not rely on one canned answer. It combines current menu data, Ethiopia Coffee’s Turkish, English and Arabic pages, published journal articles and owner-verified business information. The live menu takes priority for prices; corporate pages for business history and venue facts; verified editorial content for coffee education.
What happens when information is uncertain?
Buna is designed not to present uncertain information as fact. It does not guess live stock, table availability, allergen guarantees or medical advice. When necessary, it asks you to confirm with the on-site team.
The same experience in three languages
Buna works in Turkish, English and Arabic. It does not simply translate words; it uses clear, respectful language suited to the guest. The Arabic interface supports right-to-left layout.
